My passion is hair, I love to help people create their own unique style, whether it be with a cut, color or just a new way to style their hair! Hair is for FUN so come on in and lets play! I'm married to my wonderful husband Rick with whom we have three beautiful daughters and three adorable grand-daughters with another grandchild on the way.! I received my cosmetology license in 1980 since then I've become a Paul Mitchell educator and a Licensed Instructor. I worked at the Scott Lewis School of Cosmetology , but my dream was to always own my own salon. My best friend Shelley and I have worked together for many years and have wanted to open a salon together for ever and in 2009 our dream came true.
We opened MiraBella Salon & Spa in February of 2009!!! I want to give a big thanks to my parents for helping make that dream a realty!!! I have been a hairdresser for 24 years and have had my instructors license for 3 years. The planning of this salon has been a labor of love for me for 4 years. It was originally going to be a family business, something that my mom could benefit from as well. That idea was going full force 2 1/2 years ago when we found out my dad had cancer. We abandoned the salon and put all our energy into getting my dad better, expecting to pick up where we left off at a later time. I am very happy to say that my dad is cancer-free and doing very well.
In December of 2008, this salon came out of nowhere and it was just what I had been planning for those 4 years. My best friend and business partner, Shawna and I opened the doors to MiraBella Salon & Spa in February of 2009. We have been blessed with wonderful clients and the most amazing stylists to work with each day, one of whom is my sister Darcy.
My mom even sells beautiful handmade jewelry here. Hairdressing is a creative outlet for me.
Helping people feel and look their best truly inspires me. My business partner is also a huge inspiration. We bounce ideas off of each other, share techniques, and ask for each other’s thoughts and opinions. I think the similar training we share and our thoughts on beautiful healthy hair allows us to create a unique, yet professional environment. Clients can walk in feeling at ease and comfortable, but most importantly confident with their hairdresser. Our salon personifies a harmonious team and it continues to evolve. My clientele continues to grow thanks to referrals from my valued clients. Thank you for recommending me! Last but not least I have to say that I couldn't have done any of this without the love and support of my husband, Rick. He is my rock. And my wonderful kids, they have encouraged me all the way!

When my middle school teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I had a dire love for helping people but really didn’t know what…. Once I found out what the benefits of massage were and what I can do to help people understand their bodies I fell in love. I graduated in 2006 with a certification for Massage Therapy with 620 hours complete. I’m originally from Sacramento, Ca and moved to Boise in a spur of the moment and now I’m stuck! I love what Boise has to offer and the people are amazing!
